La Dolce Pausa
A Slow Travel Retreat in Italy
September 23 -30, 2026
Slow down. Breathe deeply. Let Italy work its quiet magic.
La Dolce Pausa is a 7-night slow travel retreat in the Umbrian countryside,
created by artist Sarah Goodnough, yoga teacher Susan Winter, and Italian local Emanuele “Manu” Magnoni.
Together, we’ll blend yoga, art, Italian food, and meaningful cultural experiences into one beautiful, restorative week.
-

Exploration & Immersion
Wander cobbled medieval streets and sun-warmed hillside villages, pausing to peek into tiny shops, cafés, and hidden corners. Through Manu’s connections and hospitality, you’ll experience Italy like a local—sharing stories, flavors, and everyday moments that reveal the true heart of this place.
-

Movement & Reflection
Ground your nervous system with slow, intentional yoga, steady breathwork, and mindful movement as you soften back into your body. Feel the deep, soothing pressure of yogi balls melt into tight muscles, gently releasing tension, stress, and stored trauma—inviting a sense of ease, safety, and calm from the inside out.
-

Creative Expression & Flow
Awaken your creativity through guided art workshops, journaling, and experiential activities that invite you to play with color, texture, and imagery—gently opening the door to your creative flow and letting ideas move from heart to page, canvas, and beyond.
-

Savoring the Flavor
Savor Italy with us through relaxed, food-centered experiences that delight the senses. Breathe in the aroma of fresh herbs and warm bread, taste authentic dishes made with seasonal local ingredients, and sip regional wines as we gather around the table. Laughter, conversation, and slow, lingering meals invite you to let Italy fully awaken your senses.
Small-group retreat, limited to 16 women.
Pricing; $4,500 - $5,950 per person, based on room selection.
